Hi, I'm April!
I am the owner and photographer at Trio Photography and Design. I love to get to know my clients so I can build an experience perfect for you, so let me tell you a little about myself!
I have been interested in photography since my pre-teen years and have rolls and rolls of film that I am sure contain hundreds of poorly lit, random things. I’ve gotten better since then, thank goodness! I started TPD in 2010 after the birth of my daughter and have been going strong since.
I married my bearded, burly, teddy bear husband in 1995 at the ripe old age of 18. He was 21 and clean shaven at the time. Man, we looked like kids; we were kids! I am happy to report we are still in love, though we look much less like kids. Speaking of kids, we have two human ones and three furry ones. The humans are Isaac and Grace. FUN FACT: Isaac and Grace are 11 years apart - to say we were surprised would be an understatement. Our furry kids are two dogs named Bruno and Luna and a cute little furry bunny named Scout.
I was born and raised in Greenwood, IN and have lived in or around Greenwood my whole life. I love it here! I love music, like, a whole lot. It is a very integral part of my life. I don’t think I have ever gone a day without music in my life. I can be caught singing at any moment, and tend to quote movies or music lyrics at random times. I am a joyful person who loves to meet new people and hang out with my favorites. I also love and crave aloneness and quiet time. I say I am not high maintenance, my husband would disagree. I love animals of all kinds and shapes and never turn down an opportunity to pet and love on one. Except snakes and spiders, those don’t count. I am a coffee snob, and not ashamed to admit it. I freaking love coffee. I am an avid reader, always have been. I love being outdoors going to farmers markets, flea markets, antique stores, boutiques, hiking, bike riding and doing all the fun fall things like pumpkin patches, hay rides and corn mazes. I don’t like to be hot, but that is inevitable here in Indiana many months of the year so I try not to complain too much. My favorite treat is dark chocolate covered espresso beans (shocker, I know). I love being involved in my church, singing on the worship team and worshiping with my whole family. I love that my brother is my Pastor. I am completely and wholly addicted to tattoos. I love them. I have lots of them. My artist IS better than yours, but I appreciate all good artwork. I am a creative soul with an organized side. I love to paint, craft, hand letter and do basically anything that uses my creative side.
Anyway, if you stuck it out this far, you have a really good image of who I am. I can’t wait to become friends and to give you images that move your soul.
Hugs and high fives,
